Cultivated is the brainchild of four bay area artists who all met at a design firm in San Francisco. Thriving at the heart of the local art and design scene, their personal pursuits were fueled by partaking in local events that reached out to an international community such as Fecal Face and Pecha Kucha. Desiring to do something similar, they dreamt of an event to celebrate art inspired by landscape architecture that would coincide with the annual ASLA Conference landing in San Francisco this fall. This dream is now a reality; Cultivated's opening debut will be a night of art and inspiration hosted at Mars Bar, a local art bar in the burgeoning Soma district.

In concept, Cultivated seeks to provide a place where visiting and local artists, designers and landscape architects can gather to celebrate interpretations of Landscape Architecture that reflect the impacts that natural and built environments have on our lives. We are looking to engage like-minded organizations as well as the community in hopes to cultivate interaction between the local culture and visiting friends of ASLA. Our goal in establishing these new relationships is to perpetuate Cultivated as an event that happens year to year - springing up annually in a new locale. All donations fund the effort to secure Cultivated as a non-profit. Each year, Cultivated will contribute 5 percent of the collection to a local organization in its host city that is committed to improving and sustaining its surrounding community through Landscape Architecture. We hope you contribute in bringing this vision to light!

Event Update!
The special people over at 360 Vodka are providing a "green" alternative to your drinking pleasure for the evening. Everytime you buy one of their drinks during the event, one dollar will go to the San Francisco Park Trust. Also, 5% of tonights donations will be going towards the Trust. So please check both of these folks out with further information at their websites. We are extremely excited to have them on board.
